Affiliate disclosure
Last updated: 3 June 2026
Appliance Compare uses affiliate links to retailers. When you click a "View" or retailer link from a product page and go on to buy something, the retailer pays us a small commission. The price you pay does not change.
How affiliate revenue works here
We use the Awin publisher network to track outbound clicks to UK retailers including Currys, AO.com, John Lewis and Argos. Some retailers may also run their own direct affiliate programmes. Each retailer link on the site is tagged with our publisher identifier so the network can attribute a purchase to us if you complete one within the retailer's tracking window (typically 7 to 30 days depending on the merchant).
What this does not change
- Rankings. The order products appear in is determined by the engine described in our methodology — editorial score, dimensional fit, total cost of ownership, reliability signal — never by commission rate.
- Editorial verdicts. Our editorial team writes verdicts before looking at affiliate revenue data, and verdicts are not changed in response to a retailer's commission offer.
- Featured retailers. We do not accept payment to feature a retailer above others. The "cheapest retailer" surfaced on a product card is the in-stock listing with the lowest price our data has captured, full stop.
- Price you pay. Affiliate commission is paid by the retailer out of their margin. It is not added to the price of the appliance.
Regulatory position
This disclosure is published in line with the Advertising Standards Authority and Competition and Markets Authority guidance on identifying paid promotion. We treat every retailer link as a commercial relationship that needs to be flagged to readers, even where the commission is small or uncertain.
